Diabetes Nutrition Support Group
*** Registration closed for the fall series, but let us know if you'd like to be put on the waitlist for the winter series! ***
We are excited to begin offering a weight-neutral and intuitive-eating based nutrition support group for individuals with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin-resistant PCOS!
Are you struggling to maintain or build intuitive eating skills when most recommendations support weight loss and restriction? Does pursuing a Health At Every Size (HAES) and intuitive eating approach feel like you are swimming against the tide of popular health and wellness advice? We are here to support you in this journey! The group is facilitated by Jamie Clayton, MS, RDN, CDCES and Geanna Revell, MS, RDN, both of whom are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and experts in diabetes nutrition. |
WHEN & HOW
The group will meet every Wednesday evening from 5:30-6:30pm for 10 weeks starting 9/13/23 and ending on 11/15/23.
All sessions will be via video meeting and we’re invested in creating a warm and supportive environment where you can feel safe and comfortable sharing and learning with and from others.
WHO
We are looking to have 4-8 adult participants who have diabetes, pre-diabetes, or insulin-resistant PCOS, and are interested in exploring an Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size (HAES) approach to their blood sugar management.
Established clients only. Contact us ASAP if you need to schedule an initial assessment prior to starting the group.
GROUP FOCUS
Each session will have a loose topic/ focus and plenty of open conversation. We will discuss, investigate and help navigate the feelings that arise with a diagnosis; how prevailing advice (from medical providers and well-meaning friends and family alike) stacks up against the actual evidence; and how intuitive eating can be a path towards kinder, gentler and more sustained blood sugar management.
Some of the topics we’ll be covering:
COST
Since this is our pilot group, we are offering the series at a reduced rate of just $300 for all 10 sessions. The group is not covered by health insurance. Payment is required at time of registration, but please contact us if you require an alternative payment arrangement. We hope participants will provide valuable feedback for us to make future series as helpful and supportive as possible. Participants in this first series will be eligible for a discount off their next series if they choose to participate again.
Don’t let your diabetes or blood sugar concerns lead you down a path you’ve already determined did not work for you. Join us for a new conversation and a different path forward! Register below...
