Many individuals also fear that “nutrition counseling” will involve shaming around their culture, identity, bodies, or food preferences. You are the expert of your body and my ultimate goal is to give you the skills and permission to experience both pleasure and nourishment from food. To ensure doing so, I’m keen on working from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and weight-inclusive lens.
Eating disorders can come in many different forms and develop alongside other issues such as neurodivergence, mood disorders, IBS, GI issues, food allergies, PCOS, and more. Your treatment plan and goals will be tailored to your individual needs to help you heal your relationship with food. By the end of our time working together, your eating patterns will feel stable, you’ll feel more confident in feeding yourself, and will find a newfound freedom from food.
