I'm Marlene, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Seattle, and I'm on a mission to help you dig up the roots of your health problems and feel your best, instead of piling on band-aid after band-aid.
You see, food and nutrition is at the CORE of our health.
The traditional medical model to healthcare tends to prescribe medications (uh-um band-aids) and treat symptoms rather than using nutrition and lifestyle to HEAL and PREVENT.
Why is that?
There are many reasons, but 2 of the big ones are...
1) Addressing the food piece is REALLY complex and harder to do than take a pill.
2) Medical doctors get minimal training in nutrition... its not what they know how to do so they tend to not go there beyond "eat your veggies and workout". Meanwhile there are LOADS of unqualified people out there claiming to be an expert in nutrition simply because they eat or maybe took a weekend class.
This is where I come in.
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with 10 years of experience in the field and a culinary background, I've got the skills and smarts to help you CHANGE YOUR LIFE through nutrition.
I take evidence-based principles and package them up into practical every-day strategies that you can actually do.
I specialize in pediatric nutrition (infants, kids & teens), food sensitivities associated with a variety of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions, plant-based eating (e.g. vegetarian, vegan) and real food diets for people fed via a feeding tube.
"But I don't have chronic health problems", you say...
That's great!! Good nutrition is preventive medicine! Maybe you simply want to eat healthier, de-stress meal times, challenge picky eating, or make sure your vegan/vegetarian diet is nutritionally complete.
I can help you with that too.
So feel free to peruse my website to check out what I'm about, get some nutrition tips, and see if you want to work with me.
When you're ready, you can schedule an appointment or clarity call here.
Although typically considered weeds, to me dandelions are a representation of strength, resilience, fearlessness, unconventional beauty, transformation and second chances. Additionally, they are chock-full of vital nutrients and can even be made into salves, syrups, supplements and salads!
